Okay maybe not best ever. It's too hard to really choose one anyway. But it's definitley one of only 3 or 4 that have only great songs and no duds. That list also includes RHCP - Californication, Streetlight Manifesto/Catch22 - Keasby Nights, De La Soul - Art Official Intelligence, and Handsome Boy Modelling School - White People.

It's not the BEST album ever. It's definitely better than the Blue Album, but it's a little too full of self-pity for me to put it at the top.

Definitely on the top 20 rock/pop list for me, though.

IMHO Blood Sugar Sex Magic was the last good one (with no clunkers). I hate Californication like it is my job.

No, it's not the best! It's not bad though.

There's too much different music around so I wouldn't dare to name anything the "best album"!

But my personal favorite is Unknown Pleasures. It just vibes with me although it has its flaws - making it definetely not the best album out there.

The hype is strong with this one. So I always feel the need to explain that I discovered it long before the movie "Control" came out, the cover image became a kind of internet meme and you could buy T-Shirts with those famous lines everywhere.
